Kredl’s Expansion

Background & Vision

A 9,000 sq. ft. expansion to the existing Kredl’s Market, completed while the store remained fully operational.

The project involved demolition and removal of the old rear warehouse, temporary hoarding and shoring to maintain storefront access, and construction of a new elevated addition designed above the site’s floodplain. Shortly after completion, the area experienced flooding—with no impact to the new structure.

The expansion included:

  • Walk-in cooler and freezer
  • Loading dock
  • Full butcher shop with rail system

Architectural highlights include a 20-foot-high retail ceiling, a central round arch feature, and steel stairs leading to level two into a non‑issue and kept the overall project on schedule.
